Userbase doesn't matter in this case. The 360 has far outstripped the original Xbox in terms of userbase, but Halo 3 isn't proportionally outselling Halo 2. Metroid Prime outsold Metroid Prime 3, despite the Wiis infinitely greater success compared to the GameCube

Maybe he wasnt that bad ass in MGS2 but in MGS4 he changed alot and had some sick battle moves you should check them out sometimes

- The PS2 userbase was higher when MGS 3 was released, yet the game sold less. Ow no!
- It's a spin-off. It doesn't continue the main story (that's finished imo). Personally, I don't know if I'll be Rising (or Peace Walker). MGS 4 was a must have from the first image that was shown.
- the best selling game in the franchise(MGS) has sold 5.59 million. That's probably the number of MGS fans out there (you can add some newcomers, but others lost interest)

as for  MGS3 it did have more user base than MGS2 but the game sucks i personally hated it and im surprised it sold 3.7m
