If I'm still playing this 2 years after release, then it has to be my favorite online game ever.

Diablo. It was the first and pretty much last game I religiously played online.
360 Games Now Playing: 360 Games unopened: Resonance of Fate Last 360 Game I Beat: Resident Evil 5
DS Games Now Playing: Dragon Quest VI DS Games unopened: Knights in the Nightmare, Etrian Odyssey III, Okamiden, Dragon Quest IX Last DS Game I beat: Radiant Historia
Wii Games Now Playing: Super Mario Galaxy 2, Arc Rise Fantasia Wii Games unopened Little King's Story, Sonic Colors, Silent Hill Shattered Memories Last Wii Game I beat: Sin & Punishment 2
Phantasy Star Online Episode I and II (for GameCube). The hackers/modders ran rampant in that game, because all data was client-side-saved, since you could play the game offline and local multiplayer, and the same characters could be used back and forth. but that's what made it awesome. Everyone had the best weapons, armor, and upgrades, but the difficulty curve at higher levels was such that you needed all the strength you could to survive the monster gauntlets. Everyone had crazy modded weapons, and lots and lots of everything that was essential
Item duplication, hacking, stat hacking, all stemmed from the same glitch that was built in the game, too. So most of the modding didn't even require an Action Replay. Toss that in the mix, and you got a crazy experience.

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

Except Guild Wars was made by ArenaNet.
Counter-Strike... it took a few years from my life but it's just so good.. balance, teamwork, shouting, screaming, intense gameplay.. I love it!
