First - isn't there usually an official thread for this??
Second, who here honestly voted for which they believed would be the BIGGEST game?
Biggest refers of course, not to the size of the physical medium, but to the number of sales of said game.
Now, looking at the previous entry in all the franchises.
MW1 = 13 million sales (plus PC version and still selling alright) and it got 31% of votes - this seems like a strong contender
Assasin's Creed1 = 8 million sales (plus PC version and I don't think it's really selling much at all nowadays) - 5.44% of the vote. Did 5.44% of people really think that this would outsell MW2? That it would outsell NSMB:Wii? Honestly
L4D1 = 2 million sales (plus PC version) - in one way, it's good that it got a mere 1.5% of the vote. But then you have to think, that's either 1.5% of people who did not understand the question, or deliberately gave an answer they knew to be wrong.
NSMB:DS = 19 million (and counting) - a strong contender, it got 22% of the vote
Halo3 = 10 million (and still going) sales - I doubt ODST will sell as well as Halo 3 tbh, but who knows, this one is not impossible, I would just say unlikely. 11.5% of the vote
Uncharted = 2.5 million sales , 28% of the vote. Again, people answering the wrong question - 600 of them this time
FYI, I voted for NSMB:Wii, which I think will sell less than MW2 during the Christmas period, but eventually outsell it. By end of lifetime it will beat MW2 by 1-2 million (I think MW2 will beat MW1 and NSMB:DS will beat NSMB:Wii which is why it'll be so close)
For those who answered any of the silly answers, I give you a follow up poll (be honest this time please :P)
Which question did you actually answer?
- Which game do you think is the best?
- Which game will be the smallest?
- Which game will get the highest metacritic score?
Which Game do you think deserves the highest sales?
