Why though?  Each halo has improved upon the last.  The only difference between Halo 2 and Halo 3 multiplayer are the equipement (Its hard to improve something so perfect), and that doesn't make the MP bad.  Or do you hate the Assault Rifle? (i know i do)

Lol umm ok, why do you think Halo 2 and Halo 3 aren't as good as Halo?  the novelty is gone?

Outside of the pistol, I think Halo had the balance perfect. The maps and single player campaign, I think, were better. None of the missions in any of the Halo games were as epic as the third mission (can't remember which exactly) and The Maw.

And I have to say that compeition from other shooters also hurt my enjoyment. It's harder to enjoy something whenever a better shooter comes along.

Ok fair enough, Although i think for the most part all the Halo's have kept the balance in weapons and maps that the first one had(sans the ridiculously overpowered Assault Rifle in H3)

I agree that if you've played alot of games that have epic missions, then Halo 3's missions can seem somewhat lackluster.  Who knows maybe Halo: Reach will have an epic campaign (I hope at least!)

Have you played Halo 2 or 3 online?

Of course. I played both games online for at least 10 hours each. I spent more time with Halo 2 though.

you should try custom games, or a lan party with your friends.  Its so much fun

I love the Halo series, but outside of online enhancements the first is still the best. I prefer the uber pistol. I just wish for a XBLA version of Halo 1 but strictly online. I would pay $20 just for that.

Halo is awesome. It's just fanboys that hate it. Sure there may be exceptions to the game that people may not like.... but damn, it can't be that bad for selling almost 10 million!



Everyone needs to play Lost Odyssey! Any opposition to this and I will have to just say, "If it's a fight you want, you got it!"

I don't like fps to begin with. I've only enjoyed 2 fps in my life and that's quake 3 arena and enemy territory.

If Halo's story( talking about all 3 of them) would be outstanding then I would probably not hate it. If you like multiplayer games then sure Halo is great. I'm more of a singleplayer guy and Halo sucks for me in just single player.

Ps: I played all Halo games, but just at friends. Multiplayer is great fun, but that's because competition between friends is always fun in games imo.

 

I hate Halo with a passion, but just the singleplayer, I can't say anything bad on the multiplayer.

No i mostly created it cause people were and are voting it down like mad in the elimination games.  Your thread has nothing to do with hate.

I LOVED, the FIRST Halo (AKA Halo 1) Fun as HELL, was freaking sweet on the xbox, BUT i loved it much more on PC, Better graphics Better online better everthing.

But the game itself was awesome and made of win!

Even still, you cant force others to like something you do, so the point of this thread is meaningless, i'll tell ya what... for example, no one will ever make me like Halo 2 or Halo 3, there both NOTHING to what the original was, and its that simple.

lol, yo_john, did you make this thread to convince people that hate halo not to hate it? It's going to be like talking to a solid wall, nothing is going to get through. i think most people mostly just hate it because of the console it is associated with, has nothing to do with the game
