Yes, but If he also had some hair all over his head, he could've avoided his unfortunate own goal 40 min earlier.

It wasn't his fault, it bounced off the back of the other defender. It was going to be clear but unfortunately the other's back was right there.
^
Why was the defender heading it back across the area though? I know it hit somebody else but he shouldn't be doing that anyway...

Holland to their standards played dire for the first half, Van Der Vaart and Seijder don't have the same wavelength as most of the time Vaart thinks he is a central midfielder drawing the defenders to the play maker. Until Elia came on thats when we have seen a glimpse on what they can do. Nice result, but lack-luster performance from genuine winners.
Japan Vs Cameroon, expecting goals!

It was his fault, but things like this happen in football. I won't blame the Danish team for this one fault, I blame them for showing too much respect for a Dutch team without Robben. Anyway: Deserved win for the Netherlands.
Now: Go, Cameroon!

1-0 to Japan. Hopefully that makes this game better, been very boring so far.
Terrible, terrible first half. The African teams are way too nervous in their own World Cup. Too much pressure, probably.

Sigh, Blatter rules out Vuvuzela ban.

well, it's pretty much like the group stage of the bigger continental competitions, until you get your Ventspills and Oriente Petrolero out it's gonna be like this. but Japan is better than the press led me to believe; it's not a great team, but it ain't gonna be easy for Denmark.
the words above were backed by NUCLEAR WEAPONS!
