And poor Darren Bent, having Heskey go ahead of him. Third for the golden boot this season, second highest scoring englishman in the league, all while playing for a mid-table club. What more does he have to do? If he scored that many playing for a top four club and didn't get to go there'd be riots in the streets.

agreed about Dawson>Upson, the later has been awful for England, pretty much every ive seen him play...

Heskey has all the goal scoring ability of a blind donkey with only one leg.

Bent im not so sure about, he did great for Sunderland, but for England thus far he has been pretty unconvincing.

Can someone with footballing knowledge explain this to me.....

Heskey 3 goals in 31 games

Bent 24 goals in 36 games

Heskey gets the nod. It doesn't make any sense because if Capello is wanting someone with height to play with Rooney then surely that man would need to be Crouch and not Heskey?

I'm not Darren Bent's greatest supporter but he has been doing the business this season and hasn't been given nearly the same oppotunities as Heskey or Defore (Who dissapoints every game)

Looks like Rooney and Crouch upfront or Rooney with Gerrard just off him.

i'd take walcott as a striker/winger option but thats just my preference

capello wants two big men options i guess,thats why he took crouch and heskey

we can't even be sure what formation we'll play against the usa,the straight up 4-4-2 or the 4-5-1 however it is deployed,but it won't be long til we find out,11 days and counting,what fun,i love world cups
