YES,I LIKE IT,
there is a good chance that will be the team if barry is not fit, although i wouldn't even take carrick, lol
james would never be in goal for me too,if i was in charge of england, good to have around the squad but i'd never play him unless the other two were injured,i'd rather put green in goal, but i like hart so might aswell start him young
Carrick has been hit and miss for England, but I think he would work well in that kind of line-up, IMO it would be our strongest line up as it alllows both Lampard and Gerrard freedom in that attacking midfield role, with Rooney up front.
@ zuvuyeay - James has the most experience, I think that will help us, at least in the opening game.
Why take 3 keepers?
Keepers are the least likely to get injured and the chances are not even one will get injured. Having a versitile defender who can play anywhere along the back 4 would be more suited

I think there is a chance after the other night that he misses out... he was utter garbage. Apart fom that... I like your selection. Peopel asking for King over ferdinand are deluded... he was caught out a lot against mexico. |
Capello said he would base international appearances on club form. From what i've seen King this season (when he has played) has been better than Ferdinand and Terry. For England there were a few nightmare moments but that was Leighton Baines as well not just him.

U.S. ROSTER BY POSITION (All-Time World Cup Roster Appearances)
GOALKEEPERS (3): Brad Guzan (2010), Marcus Hahnemann (2006, 2010), Tim Howard (2006, 2010)
DEFENDERS (7): Carlos Bocanegra (2006, 2010), Jonathan Bornstein (2010), Steve Cherundolo (2002, 2006, 2010), Jay DeMerit (2010), Clarence Goodson (2010), Oguchi Onyewu (2006, 2010), Jonathan Spector (2010)
MIDFIELDERS (9): DaMarcus Beasley (2002, 2006, 2010), Michael Bradley (2010), Ricardo Clark (2010), Clint Dempsey (2006, 2010), Landon Donovan (2002, 2006, 2010), Maurice Edu (2010), Benny Feilhaber (2010), Stuart Holden (2010), José Torres (2010)
FORWARDS (4): Jozy Altidore (2010), Edson Buddle (2010), Robbie Findley (2010), Herculez Gomez (2010)
so bob thinks that Findley and Beasley should get in ahead of Ching, Rogers. Taking 7 defenders isn't really a surprise to me.
Yep. Mexico are suppose to be of roughly the same ability as that of the U.S.A
