Looks like Fabregas is finally gone. That's a real shame, for the league as a whole as well as Arsenal. I can't imagine them without him, or at least without him being injured as an excuse.

According to the Arsenal ceo, no offer has been made yet for Fabregas. But according to a lot of papers Fabregas has asked Wenger (face to face) if he can leave Arsenal for Barca. Funny thing is Wenger is abroad on holidays and Fabregas is in London.

I'm sure some of the rumours are true and that Fabregas wouldn't mind moving to Spain and Barca are definitely interested. The thing is can Barca afford the 60m€ that Arsenal are reportedly demanding? They just spent a shit load on Villa. Their debt is spiralling out of control, it's in the regions of 420 million pound.

The other thing is that Arsenal do not need to sell, they're a financially sound club and Fabregas has a long term contract. Only an astronomical transfer fee will tempt them to sell.

Well apparently they've agreed personal terms with him and he's put in a transfer request. Laporta has said he's willing to pay more than £30 mil for him. Obviously no deal has been done yet, but with Fabregas so obviously looking for a move it'd be shocking if he stays. I wish he wasn't going. Barca don't even need him.

I would laugh if he's on the bench, looks likely.

Yeah I wouldn't be surprised. I can't really see where he fits into in that team. Obviously he won't get in ahead of Xavi and with him in the squad Fabregas seems a bit redundant. As far as I know he still rarely gets into the starting lineup for Spain ahead of Xavi or Iniesta, hard to imagine him doing it for Barca.  Xavi isn't getting any younger I suppose but €40 mil is a bit much for cover

Yep. ^

They need a decent stadium, 12,000 makes Fulham's look gigantic!
