@captain
I take a look at your frankly offensive avatar and have to disregard everything you say about Liverpool.
I can (almost) understand people from outside Manchester supporting Man U but i can t quite understand why you would hate them.... its either:
a) Historical jealousy.. cant be that you cant even remember before the premier league let alone remember when Liverpool dominated Europe and Man U were shit.
b) Local knowledge.. this is something that gets me.. I live IN manchester, have done all of my life, and so I understand the local economic and social tensions that go back hundreds of years between Liverpool and Manchester... you live in canada... so it cant be this.
c) "I'm a Man U 'fan'.. so therefore I have to hate Liverpool dont I?!?" ah... must be this... in other words you have no idea why.

My avatar might be offensive to some, but what I said abotu Liverpool and their last minute goals last season are very true. You just don't want to believe it.
Of course I don't remember when Liverpool dominated Europe back in the 80's im only 16.
And ok so the next time I see you backing an NHL, NBA or MLB team I will say support your local team because you dont "understand" the history and local tension between the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Montreal Canadiens for example.
And I don't hate Liverpool because I am a Utd fan... I am probably the last person you would want to call a follower, if you knew me in real life you would know.....The reason why I dislike Liverpool very much is because, well I just do. I go on other soccer forums and there are the Liverpool fans raiding a Utd article about how shit they are etc. Me being a passionate supporter, I cant resist arguing back. Many fans like to live off their sucess over 20 years ago (when they wenrt even born at least I witnessed Utd winning for 10 years). I witness Liverpool winning the CL in 2005, teh FA Cup in 2006 and get jealous... Then when we beat them it feels so good. Rafas rants on Utd last year fueld my anger even more
You should see my school and how much shit people talk about other teams. On the friday after school before the Liverpool, Utd derby you would think my school is Old Trafford b4 the macth thats how passionate some people that DONT live in England are. Just because we dont live in the City doesnt mean we dont know the history and importance of derby matches and the teams history.
And yes, I do to hate glory hunters who switch teams frequently because of their success (like many of my friends did when Chelsea won in 2005) I am a history nerd, and Football history is no exception... I bet I even know more than you abotu football. I watch countless matches every week and my room is covered with United stuff. Obviously I don't know that much about the CURRENT conditions of the rivalry because I dont live inEngland... However I did go twice, once to Manchester and I know by talking to the people how it is in England.
If I was a follower, I would also hate City with a passion but I don't really dislike City. Bolton has a rivalry with Blackburn, Spurs and Arsenal hate each otehr as do Southampton and Portsmouth. If it wasn't for people like me, non brits supporting english teams then there would be no premier league.
