So I've recently gotten back into Warhammer after a many year break, and was quite surprised by the large number of changes since 5th edition.

I dusted off my collection to discover that my main army was surprisingly awesome (also, a bit overpowered in the characters department, ie containing Tyrion, Teclis, Korhil, The everqueen, and a noble/prince on horse and another on a pegasus, and a mere 50 non characters)

That brings me round to my first actual question - where did the Everqueen, maiden guard and pegasii all dissapear to? The new High Elf army books don't include them. Are there any supplementary (but offical) rules that reinclude them? Cos I remember the maiden guard being sweet, kinda like the sea guard but actually good.

i used to collect/play warhammer when i was younger, still have my stuff somewhere, but havent bought any or played for years now.

Yeah, I hadn't either, but then I realised heaps of my uni friends were in the same boat

I've tried playing a few times but my hands aren't near steady enough to paint the figures (and I would have to have my figures well painted), I don't want to spend the insane amount of money, and I don't have the patience to play an entire game.

Don't get me wrong, it's a cool game, just not for me.

Are we talking the original Warhammer?... or are you including Warhammer 40k?!!?!

I had the an awesome Chaos army assembled... i think if I fielded all my units I would come in at over 12000 points on the field...

I played it a lot back in the day. I have around 750 of Bretonians and some over 1k with Blood Angels. My brother has some Wood Elfs and Tyranids and we also have some Undeads and Lizardmen left when we used to play with 2 others friend at our place.

I used to, but it was way too expensive for me.

Ahh, you 40k players are welcome to. I actually played my first game of that a few weaks ago. I was Eldar against some Tao. I didn't actually reach the enemy lines before being shot to pieces
