They changed so much in the movie from the books. -_-

And I swear, Dan Radcliffe and the dude that plays Dumbledore have no emotional capacity whatsoever.

Other than that, the movie was awesome, and I'll be buying it on Blu-Ray day one. xD

I have to say I was quite bored in the movie. They changed and left out quite a lot of stuff from the book. What boggles my mind is that they leave out very important things for the last book, but throw in so much teen angst and snogging. Not a fan of the changes, but the movie looked damn good. One of the best wizard scenes put to film is when the D man saves Harry.

Bestbuy are having the blu-ray movies at 19.99$ which is a decent sale from 29.99$ in US and Canada.

Unfortunately the US deal is you also get $5 off consession food per a blu-ray movie, which kinda sucks.

Im from Canada and what we have is that for ever blu-ray bought comes with a free $10 movie ticket admission for the new HP movie.  So i bought all 5 on blu-ray and pretty much ends up to like $10.99 per a blu-ray since my friends and I planned to watch the movie anyways.

To all Canadians that love HP and havent seen the movie yet and wants to collect the blu-rays, this is a great deal. $10.99 a blu-ray movie =)

Well, judging by the film's commercials, it looks like a great movie.

According to mr. Daniel Radcliff, the 7th movie is going to be TWO parts, why? Well because its going to be exactly like the book he says, a tribute to the fans of the books. One comes out in 2010 the other in 2011.

uhhh... apparently you don't know what happens in the 6th/7th books...

I guess there are minor Dumbledore parts in the last book, but I'm sure they could get those filmed at any time since he will no longer be a main character and is just a portrait...

The reason the game is better (I'm taking your word for this btw) is because the film got delayed for 9 or so months, giving EA time to go back in and make a more complete package without the normal time contraints a movie tie-in has. It's the equivalent of games like GoldenEye, Chronicles of Riddick, Ghostbusters, etc. that are based on movie properties without having to worry about launching on day one with a movie.

Given how much they've changed leading up to the final two movies, I don't see how that's possible.

A couple of examples:

The Burrow was burned down in the latest film.  Wtf.  Like a third of the final book revolves around the Burrow.

They've never said a thing about Ron's brother and Fleur getting together in the films.  In the final book, you're supposed to see their wedding, have the trio stay at their house near the end, the works. They are heavily involved in the final book.

^^Yep.

They also left out Dumbledore mentioning what he thinks the horcruxes will be. They did not bury the Elder Wand with Dumbledore. Harry is not the one who hid the Half Blood Prince's book. They left out a lot of Voldemort's story. And the biggest question of all is, why would they leave this stuff out or change it? It makes no sense to me.
