I guess it's because third parties were pretty much even on SNES and PS1. Some might even argue that the SNES has the edge because the games aged better. So if it's a tie between third parties, the decision will be based on first party software.

It makes perfect sense.

LOL I dont think Playstation would be in the top three of consoles. Maybe not even the Top 5. But SNES, NDS, and PS2 are definately better than the PS1.

SNES may be the greatest of all time. It was the dream system with great 3rd party support + Nintendo 1st party support.


Oh yea...almost forgot.

Super Metriod, Chrono Trigger, ALTTP, FF6, Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island are 5 games that end this thread.

No.  He hates a company for "how" they made money.  There is a difference.

I, on the other hand, don't hate companies, but I do think that Sony has shown some questionable integrity in the past.

On topic.  SNES had a much better library of games than the PS1 in my opinion.  I think that the N64 had a better library than the PS1, but that's just me.
