Forums - PC - THQ announces PC release of Red Faction Guerrilla

here's the PR:

____________________________________________

We know that a lot of our fans have been extremely patient and waiting on the PC version of Red Faction Guerrilla and that an official date hadn't been set in stone. Today that changes, as we've locked down our release dates:

  • International: September 11th
  • North America: September 15th

We're still finalizing the digital distribution partners for each region, and once that is all written out, I'll be sure to pass along that information as well. In addition to the release dates, below are the minimum and recommended specifications to run RFG PC:

    Minimum:

  • OS: Windows XP / Vista
  • CPU: 2.0 GHz Dual-Core Processor (Intel Core 2 Duo or AMD Athlon X2)
  • Memory: 1GB RAM / 15GB of Hard Drive space
  • Video Card: 128MB 3D Video Card with Shader Model 3.0 Support (Nvidia GeForce 7600/ATI Radeon X1300)

    Recommended:

  • OS: Windows Vista for DirectX 10
  • CPU: 3.2 GHz Dual-Core Processor (Intel Core 2 Duo or AMD Athlon X2)
  • Memory: 2GB RAM / 15GB of Hard Drive space
  • Video Card: 256MB 3D Video Card with Shader Model 3.0 Support (Nvidia GeForce 8800/ATI Radeon HD3850)

Note: If you're going to play Multiplayer on Games For Windows Live, we highly encourage each individual to be running a "Recommended" spec computer or higher.

Is this game better than the first 2 that were on PC? Cause those 2 were quite trashy. Great concepts, horrible horrible execution.

They definitely did alot of bad choices for the PC version:
    - Delayed release of the PC version
    - GFWL Integrated
    - 2 Ghz Core 2 Duo as Min Req?!

well I was going to get this but Games for Windows Live just totally made me change my mind.

no mods and with GFWL, no dedicated servers. the recipe for fail, but after it flops let's put the blame on piracy.

the words above were backed by NUCLEAR WEAPONS!
