The mods warn people for minor offenses, ban for major and/or repeated offenses. It's not a tough job, and you gain a lot of glory from it. You're already a star on the forums (much like I was), so if you become a mod, you'll be a superstar (much like I was, again). Young girls who dream of being moderators on internet forums will be inspired by your role in this site.

Plus, you're nice, calm tempered, active, and devoted to the site. You've got it all.

Yup, simple stuff.

And I got demoted because I was a dick to a lot of people. Which is kind of who I am, but it happens a lot more often when I'm frustrated (and I was very stressed at the time with schoolwork). You won't have that problem.

i thought that was one of the qualification to become a mod. It's not a nice person's job with ahole like psrock running wild in wii forums.

For the longest time I believed that if you had a chance to become a mod you had to be a good, unbiased poster, and never been banned. As that does help, the ugly truth is that you got to have a good history of reporting. Yes! you have to snitch your way up there

So no, she's not qualified because I doubt she goes around reporting people.

The 0 bans bit isn't an entirely firm requirement. I can name a couple mods who have been banned for various reasons. That said they are definitely rare and  have almost no history of being obnoxious on the forums. This has been esepcially true since Naz started placing people rather than ioi.
