Forums - Microsoft - Remedy:'Alan Wake is Xbox 360 exclusive' (PC version shelved indefinitely)

someone please, just give me a gun or a rubber .
shio everyone showed evidence that you are wrong, using FACTS. the fact that your "facts" are basically "i said so so it's true" arguments didn't help you either. give it a rest already.

Isn't "a rubber" basically a condom? Why would he need one?

OH MY GOD! RUN SHIO, RUN!

since i don't have psychic powers to shut him up i would either stab him to death with the ducky or stab myself cause i'm really tired of this.

They haven't. Activision itself said that the numbers they reported were only from 5/6 markets, most of them console-centric. They didn't include numbers from portugal, sweden, norway, finland, iceland, russia, ukraine, poland, and other dozens of countries, and no doubt they didn't even mention the digital sales.

for example, when they reported COD4 sold 7 millions it only encompassed North America, UK, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, and Benelux. Only France, Germany and Benelux are PC-centric, but they can't even compare to North-America (USA+Canada), UK, Italy and Spain. This means they left out dozens of PC-centric countries and digital sales.

Neither of the links I provided stated that they only included games in those countries.

Guess its no loner ''only on Microsoft''.

Wow, he actually came back and said CoD4 sold more on PC.

Also, I love how he has zero items to back up his claims. Wow. I am flabbergasted.

He also mentioned a graph produced by a site that has no direct line to Live data. They are basing there claims on members of a site. Very inaccurate.

"Absence of evidence is not evidence of absence"

Ever heard of this? Even though I can't be certain it sold 10 millions on PC, you also can't be certain it sold less than X360's because there's no conclusive evidence of that too. The only thing we can be certain of is that it definitely didn't sell little because it was the Top selling game on Steam and D2D for months, it still shows up on several DD Top sellers lists, and Activision said, nearly a year later, that it was still one of the 5 top selling PC games.

It also rivaled Sims and WoW (you know, those +10 millions sellers) titles on retail top seller lists for over a year, except COD4 had the advantage of being sold on Digital stores, while Sims and WoW pretty much were not. Even now COD4 is still 10th in Steam's Top Selling Action Games.

I have explained the reasons as to why I believe COD4 PC sales are extremely high several times, I have no need to explain it again.

Shio in a court room.

" Judge, please no. Your evidence may be right, but there is an absence of evidence. Therefore I go free "

LOL. Hahahahahahahaha.

I hope to god your not a lawyer.

people are only punished for a crime when there's conclusive evidence!! Good god, if you were a judge you would send to jail everyone that didn't even have any conclusive evidence of crime! You would punish more innocent people than guilty ones.

JaggedSac and DirtyP2002 gave strong evidence showing that you was wrong.

So the sales of CoD4 in

  • NA
  • UK
  • France
  • Germany
  • Italy
  • Spain
  • Benelux

were about 1 million combined. Just tell me HOW ON EARTH is it possible for Scandinavia, Russia, Ukraine, Poland, Australia etc to sell like 5-6 million (The PC sales must be higher than 6 million copies sold on consoles).

You have NO point, no source and are just talking bullshit.

Man, just check the revenue reported by Activision in 08! This includes EVERYTHING in every country. The revenue was like 1/7 of the Xbox360 revenue. So how could the PC version outsell the Xbox360 version? NOT POSSIBLE!

Imagine not having GamePass on your console...

Ok, I just laughed way too loudly picturing you stabbing yourself/him to death with a rubber ducky, hearing it make its squeaking noise over and over again.

Yes, I really am that effed in the head.

I guess some people didn't take the time to acknowledge my post. So be it, but it was a serious question...

Console fans, particularly 360-only owners: what if Alan Wake was PC exclusive and the only way to play it was to jack up your current rig? Would YOU be willing to fork over the cash to do so?

I'm asking subjectively here, no disrespect intended. I really am curious though...

Yes. I would buy an excellent computer, but would torrent the game because they made me buy an expensive PC.
