Yummyuchi said the game was was pretty much finished on multiple occasions. No worries about it being rushed out the door.

People are expecting way too much from Forza 3. Remember, Forza 2 was a pack in during the Holiday season (not to mention the Halo 3 launch), just like Lego Indiana Jones and Kung Fu Panda in 2008. The series isn't that popular.

GT5 is the only exclusive game on PS3 which I could see not being gobbled up by MW2 and Assassins Creed 2 in terms of sales. Only one GT game has NOT released in December so I expect the game to release the first week of December. It's basically a game which can release at any time and it will do 2 million first week but the trend is simply a December release.

My personal opinion is that TGS is the latest the game can be revealed for a 2009 release but I expect the media blowout to be next month at Gamescom. The biggie here is that GOW III is releasing March 2010 as well as many other huge games so competition will be everywhere. BTW I know they are not of the same genre but money is money. There is no big PS3 exclusive releasing this year so all signs basically point to a 2009 GT5 release.

It makes sense. Uncharted is coming late September and Ratchet in October. Sony need to have SOMETHING to fill the gap in the most important two months of the year.

MAG is November, as far as I know (going up against MW2 -_-). Then GT5 will wrap up the year in December.

Well we all know who will donminate the holidays if this is true.

GameStop has changed the date in their system yet again... to December 1st.

Seems the changes haven't hit GameStop.com yet.  I'm not sure why that happens. Two days after we changed the date to December 21st, it still said May on GameStop.com as well.
