Forums - General - What was your first weapon(gun)?

My first gun was a 4-10 shotgun. My father gave it to me with I was 12-13. I only got to use it on the gun range.

I then got a 28 gauge, 20 gauge, and 12 gauge, and shot skeet until I was 15-16. My father was a 5 time world champion skeet shooter , with an average of 99.96%.

Needless to say, I never was remotely that good, and got tired of all his world class friends hoping I would get better.

So, now I don't own any weapons. Just a paintball marker (that I happen to be very good with) :)

A bow my grandfather made for me.

Oh but that's because you're from the United States. You must live in Texas or somewhere else wild. Maybe Oklahoma :O

Ya i am from the Alabama but have no southern accent due to my father being raised from Connecticut.

Guns are for movies and bad bad people.

lol, is that a joke? We have about 20 guns in my home. My first was a 410 shotgun. I was 6 I believe, and I went duck hunting with my Dad.

Yeah it was kind of a joke but I still find it strange that anybody (with the required age of course) in your country can buy guns at a local store without any permit. It's rather archaic and ~dangerous~.

A Red Ryder BB Gun. And no I didn't shoot my eye out with it.

Yet, today, America's leaders are reenacting every folly that brought these great powers [Russia, Germany, and Japan] to ruin -- from arrogance and hubris, to assertions of global hegemony, to imperial overstretch, to trumpeting new 'crusades,' to handing out war guarantees to regions and countries where Americans have never fought before. We are piling up the kind of commitments that produced the greatest disasters of the twentieth century.

I got a .22 winchester Magnum rifle(Bolt) a couple of years ago, but it was not the right type(for my hunter safety team). So i got a .22 Longshot Reuger (Semi-Auto). I also got a 12 gauge shotgun(pump) last year. I hope to get a M1 Garand and/or a Ak-47(though I highly doubt it) when I turn 18 this year.

The NES zapper. :P

I have a phobia of real guns, despite my views of the 2nd ammendment. I would like one handgun when I get older to face my fears and protect my household if worse case comes.

something that looked like this....

but it was a toy and made a popping sound
