Forums - Nintendo - what if wii had expansions or dowloads for it's games like other consoles?

well basically i just want to know if anyone has any ideas for what wii games, and i mean wii games already released could do to improve, expand and add- on to the game via dowloadable content, you could even think of it as if it's a special or new edition of the game. i have thought of a number of examples to certain games in terms on this:

.loz:twilight princess- goron sumo wrestling tournament, horse racing track, multiplayer for minigames/sidequests

.resident evil 4- mercernaries expansion with more levels and characters maybe luis and claire redfield, krauser or luis story mode, arcade on rail shooter mode

.super smash bros brawl- alternate cotumes for characters(don't mean just colour swaps e.g. mario could have frog suit),3 new characters each with there own stage several trophies, more trophies and stickers and music to collect, new items, new objectives

i know these probably will never happen or it just can't be done but its just wishful thinking really, please brainstorm any other ideas if you guys got any

well, for a game to have dlc content, it would of had to be made to accept if from the start, so that kicks out every wii game released now without dlc.

of course, nintendo could start making games with dlc now.

come try out the computer game i've been working on for my high school senior project, titled sling ball. http://vgchartz.com/forum/thread.php?id=76669&page=1

you can view a few screenshots from the game in my photo album here; http://www.vgchartz.com/photos/album.php?album=2312

yes, this is vonboy's alt account. i can't log into my original account, and i'm not sure if i will ever be able to.

You can't just take a game that doesn't have dlc and expect it to have more features if it did. It would have just as many features, but the price would be higher. That is the true beauty of dlc

^
They could also fix the Twilight Princess hack which while nice for homebrew is breaking online games like Kart and The Conduit...

Also, they could have fixed the lag in Brawl to some extent I assume...

They've been trying this for some time. I don't know if TP is still in print, but if it were, later printings would have it patched, and they've done at least two otherwise pointless firmware upgrades that tried to shut it down, but workarounds were constructed for 'em

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

Nintendo will most probably include this on their next console

but it would have been awesome if Smash and Mario kart has dlc

don't mind my username, that was more than 10 years ago, I'm a different person now, amazing how people change ^_^

i was thinking that dlc would need to be planned from the start not just added in, but maybe some of the games could have special editions like metal gear solid series seems to do alot e.g substance and subsistance

Nintendo really waits till their games are exactly the way they want them anyway.

i suppose it is just charging us more money for what should of been in the game in the first place, on a side note were pc games expansion packs created while or after the main game was made? i mean sims was annoying for this kinda thing
