Most won't remember the fourth generation, but if you do or want to know, it contained the following systems:

SNES, with the Genesis behind but not close behind or far behind. Just right.

Without a doubt, the Super Nintendo Entertainment System. That console was amazing from day one.

SNES, easily. It's my second favorite system ever after the DS.

Some Sega system.

easily the SNES. the genesis is close behind but not quite as good as the SNES.

SNES, with Mega CD just behind it. SNES has all those great games, Mega CD has both Lunars (and lets say Vay).

The Genesis. I loved that system and even loved the Sega CD (never bought the 32x). On the sega CD, I played Lunar (The Silver Star and Eternal Blue), Dark Wizard, Mortal Kombat, Shining Force CD and Road Rash (to name a few). In quality of games, the Sega CD was anything but a failure.

That being said, I played the hell out of the SNES at friends houses, so never felt the need to actually buy one.
