Honestly, it's a boring age. Everything good like buying alcohol or getting into clubs is 19 where I live. Pretty much the only thing I did differently at that age was vote. So... get pumped for that.

Nothing has really changed for me.
College did more changing than turning 18 did.
| Boutros said: It's an horrible news for you. I don't think there is anything exciting about being 18 years old. I didn't want to be 18 years old but I just couldn't find a way to slow it down :P @Gilgamesh It's 18 years old I think. Well at least I know I can and I'm 18 so... It might be 19 in the far north like Iqaluit but not here in downtown Canada. |
I'm pretty sure they've been drinking much younger in Iqaluit =)
And where is "downtown Canada" lol.
So if someone under the age of 18 watches porn and its illegal they surley cant get charged or anything, right?

Their parents can. Thats why when you're in your room wanking make sure you're really stealthy. Trust me on that one.

Yeah, but the laws aren't enforced.
Hell, the sexual consent law is usually only enforced if one of the participants is over the age of 16 and the other isn't, else wise, it's just a lecture about safe sex.
I'm turning 18 in about 9 weeks or so (September 7th), seems a while off, but I'm on my summer holiday now, so that time will go fast. The only difference for me is that I'll be able to vote, which is kinda cool, I guess.
I didn't really care much, or rather almost didn't want to turn 18.
Though aside from the strip clubs (I still haven't been to one) I had access to the rest of the things so 18 just meant more responsibilities and fewer presents for birthdays&christmas.
18-20, the most boring years of your life. You spend the whole time waiting until your 21.
Yet, today, America's leaders are reenacting every folly that brought these great powers [Russia, Germany, and Japan] to ruin -- from arrogance and hubris, to assertions of global hegemony, to imperial overstretch, to trumpeting new 'crusades,' to handing out war guarantees to regions and countries where Americans have never fought before. We are piling up the kind of commitments that produced the greatest disasters of the twentieth century.
