Forums - Sony - Any idea how to uninstall a ps3 firmware

I want to uninstall firmware 2.80 cause it messed up the graphics of my ps3, I already reformat my hard drive but it didn't work

Bet reminder: I bet with Tboned51 that Splatoon won't reach the 1 million shipped mark by the end of 2015. I win if he loses and I lose if I lost.

o man thats unlucky, i have no idea.

You would need to reflash the PS3 with the previous firmware. Which I believe would void the warranty

Have you tried totally refreshing your system by keeping your finger on the power button until the service menu comes up? It gives you a list of options to do stuff like fixing your PS3.

no actually, if you mess up the flash, you will brick your PS3. The warranty does not cover tampering with the firmware, or any issues that result from it. In fact, since it is easy to mess up, you will void the warranty.

You can't.

And if some how you figure out how, it WILL void your warranty...
