The controls weren't impercise though they were floaty.  There are too many segments i wouldn't have been able to beat were the controls impercise.  Running and jumping comprises the vast majority of most platforming experiences.  Mario only does more because of powerups such as star and fire.  Sackboy got a gun and jetpack instead.

Nostalgia.  It will always have that.

I think it was made floaty so my non gaming femal friends had a chance at playing with me.

Looks great, I like the look of making the tracks, and that trailer shows more variety than we were shown at E3, though I think the inclusion of sheep is enough for me



I don't think it's nostalgia what makes Mario platformers better then LBP... LPB is a great game, no denying there, but take away the level creator and you're left with what?

 

This looks heaps better then mario kart wii though.

That game looks awesome and remind of a PC game back in mid 1990s where you could build your own track, 'Tracks', I think. Anyway, another reason to love my PS3.

Sackboy can jump. Mario can jump, backflip, side jump, long jump, wall jump.
