PSP Go not faster than its predecessor

PSP Go's processor may not be super-charged after all.

Last week we brought you the news that the PSP Go might feature a faster processor than its predecessor. Official documents referenced a 480MHz cap that many websites attributed to the PSP Go's processor.

A similar occurrence was featured in the original PSP, where the handheld's CPU was locked at 222MHz but was later increased to its full 333MHz.

Sony Computer Entertainment has now denied the PSP Go's faster processor, telling Engadget that the 480MHz clock frequency actually refers to the handheld's USB output. Consider this story debunked.

Well it's logical since it's only a PSP after all, not a PSP-2. Same reason why there's no second analog stick, all PSPs must be kept identical for games.

Question is, if we assume they are technically the same, will the olders psp 2000-3000 get GO features like in-game cross media bar via firmware or there is something Sony isn't telling us?
