They actually don't own it anymore Smith & Tinker does. Check out the itnerview off the link I posted. Basically the guys that were orignally responsible for FASA Studios bought back the rights from Microsoft for this seris and I believe Crimson Skies as well.
How our favorite systems are just like humans and sometimes have issues finding their special someone...
Xbox 360 wants to Kinect & PS3 wants to Move! Why are both systems having such relationship problems? The reason is they both become so infactuated with desire while watching the Wii as it waggles on by. They simply want what they can't have.

Old news, this is like the fourth thread about MW4 announcement :\
I like that there going pre-clans. Resource management was one of the more interesting aspects of the original game. I also enjoyed the Inner Sphere lost tech atmosphere more than post clan Mechwarrior. The only bad aspect I see is we wont be able to customize mechs like we have become used to in the later games. Anyone remember everyone running around in a shadowcat with umpteen ER small lasers. At least the standard loadouts ought to bring some balance to multiplayer.
If they can meet their target render for gameplay as shown in the video I will be a very happy camper. The story sounds like its going to be a throw back to the Crescent Hawks Inception. Not sure how I feel about that.

Hehe, I remember online mode in an infinite ammo match in Mech3 as a Shadowcat equipped with 16 miniguns running in circles around the other mech. It didn't matter what type they were, 16 miniguns were LETHAL! Took about 10 seconds to knock off a Daishi's leg that way.
BTW, that was ingame footage you saw.

GOTY Contestants this year: Dead Space 2, Dark Souls, Tales of Graces f. Everything else can suck it.
I'm glad there planing to use the environment to limit thoes cirular duels from the old days. It was kinda sad to see every one in light to medium mechs chew a heavy to peices by running circles around it.
It's been a long time since I played it, but I loved the original MechWarrior. The Inner Sphere mercenary storyline and RPG trappings really made it stand out. The sequels had better combat gameplay, but felt lacking in the other aspects.
Very excited for MW4. The company I work for built the original Mechwarrior back in the 1980's, and owns the rights to a few Mechwarrior-esque IPs (such as Earthsiege). I'm really happy to see the franchise revived....We've gone far too long without a good Mech shooter.
If your interested in biding time till MW4 launches, you can try it's spiritual sequel Lore: Aftermath out for free.
Back from the dead, I'm afraid.
