definitely more appropriate list since this is a list of what japanese gamers want now(so games that will be released earlier than other are higher) than what they want all time. if famitsu would put Final Fantasy 28 on the list next timer it would be in the TOP 3 despite the fact that we would see this game in 2058.

never underestimate the power of the BEWBZ. Final Fantasy franchise may have sold way more copies than idolm@ster, but just look how popular this 360/psp game is.  Berserk mangaka(one of the most popular manga series in japan) gone nuts after playing this game and opened school or somethin to teach about awesomeness of idolm@ster.

Star Ocean is the highest selling 360 game in Japan with about 220k sold.

It's fun to look at the list. However, the list doesn't even include Wii Fit Plus or New Super Mario Bros so it doesn't give us any clear signs of what the gamers of Japan actually want.

This is what Famitsu readers want, so it's not as if all Japan is buying Famitsu Magazine every week. But what this tells us is that there's more PS3 owners buying Famitsu magazines than every other group of console owners.

Even then, I find it worrying for Nintendo that there's not a single game published by them on that list. (Aside from Pokemon G/S Remake)
