I jumped in and I gotta say its pretty freaken awesome. I actually convinced a wii owner to get a 360 today. He was already thinking about it because of the poor sports games on the wii. I asking him what was keeping him. He said the price. He could afford the core but he said its useless. I told him about the new Xbox 360 arcade and seemed he really intrested. He asked me when it came out but I didnt know the date. Can anyone give it to me?

Anyway Im sorry for going off-topic but many people already did so I don't think it will be much of a problem.

Here is the confirm note:

"Amazon.com has updated its listings unveiling a new Xbox 360 edition. Scheduled for release on October 23, 2007, the Xbox 360 Arcade Console has a price of $279.99.

The Core Edition of the Xbox 360 has been a victim of many rumors since Microsoft announced it will release different editions of its next-generation system. So far, the cheapest Xbox 360 has survived all the rumors that claimed it will be discontinued and it seems it will only be replaced by an updated model that will come with some Xbox Live Arcade games and possibly HDMI (since the next-generation A/V port has been incorporated in all other editions except the Core)

* UPDATE *

Toy "R" Us has also revealed an "Xbox 360: Arcade System" that will be released on October 25, 2007.

Tell him he is going to be really happy. BTW whats your Xbox Live gamertag?

 Microsoft wouldn't sell memory cards with a system. It would cost too much.

@W29

Thanks for the info but your Toy "R" Us link dosent work. I'll tell him that it should be coming around november. My gamertag is my name so I don't feel confortable putting up. My 360 is *still* being repaired (4 weeks and counting) so I won't be able to go on xbox live. I also don't play online (lol tuition fees takes basically all my income). If you still want my gamertag, Just let me know and I'll pm it to you.

 You should, since this is not the Microsoft forum. It'd be like exchanging friends codes on the Sony forum.

I'm sorry meant no offense.

On Topic: who would like to see Dead or Alive on the wii?

 Not m29, since that would disproves his lies about Nintendo's content policies.

Nintendo, Sony, and Microsoft don't allow AO games on their consoles, period. AO games can only happen on the PC. M games are allowed on all 3 consoles. Rock Star is down with the Wii now because they want to follow the money. Manhunt 2, Bully: Scholarship Edition, and Rock Star's Table Tennis are all on their way to the Wii right now. Manhunt 2 will be the goriest game ever to make it to a console. Nintendo grew up. Did you?

Back on topic: Meh, Itagaki's a chump anyway. Didn't he say he could make a game better than Miyamoto any day? There goes any credibility. If I wanted to play Ninja Gaiden, I'd do it on my NES, oh snap!

 Well Miyamoto said he could make Halo, so it seems thinly vailed trash talk is big among Japanese developers.

Touché good sir.

The difference is that to make Halo you just need a really long development cycle, a bottomless wallet, and a great development team. To make a Miyamoto game you need a mad genius with a dream. Imagine if Bungie hired a couple of those!
