I honestly think the concept is just assuming gamers are cold blooded killers waiting for the chance to do it for real. Aside from actually psychotic people, I would hope that gamers wouldn't touch the game featured in the movie. I would hope gamers go out and protest if such a game were offered.
It just strikes me as a typical action film (okay), trying to deepen itself with moral questions (okay), but using the "games are evil" argument (not cool).
A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.
