^Wii sports doesn't even have an hour playtime on my wii. I don't understand how people can play something as horrible as that.

That just means you're too passive. Why were you afraid to take your PS3 back and say it didn't work? I've never heard of anyone saying their wireless didn't work. And if you got it used or second hand, its your own damn fault for not trying it first.
The reason this arguement fails (And the ONLY reason it fails) is because the 360 wireless adapter is optional. You can't tack that price onto the package because 360 users don't NEED it. They can still play on the internet without it.
When PS3 price drops, look for 360 to bundle a wireless adapter with their console. You're out of your mind to buy one anyway, you can achieve the same results using a wireless access point at a much cheaper cost. That's what a friend of mine is doing, and it works fine for him.

The Problem is that a wireless connection is not always nessessary. There are some who will use it, and some who will not. Some people do enjoy the convience and lack-of-wires approuch of the wireless connection for the 360. I myself just took a drill to my wall and fed the cable though the wall and into my modem. You might as well factor in a blu-ray player for the Wii and 360 if your going by that logic. We're not trying to deduce how much it would cost to get a equilivant gaming experience out of the 3 systems. Rather we've deduced that gaming is freakishly more expensive than one would imagine with the price tags bopping around. |
Not quite. Considering Squillaim added figures for cables (which are optional) and xbox live (which too is an optional service), I believe it's well within the boundaries of consideration. A means of connecting to the internet is not needed - of course, but those who want to play online and put their xbox live service to use have to either buy a cable or wifi. I, for one, didn't know about this price tag when i bought my 630- this tacked on a 20% price increase i was not initially expecting
Fair case.
The last line is pure gold.
But, if we're talking about price I'd add that a core gamer should think in the long run. And after 2 years of gold live membership, the PS3 becomes cheaper.
(don't get me started with "Live is worth 50$ a year", it probably is, but the PS3 gets a bigger HD, wifi, and Bluray for the same price)
They will know Helgan belongs to Helghasts
The price of games and content for me far outweigh the initial cost of the console.
With what I've spent on games, Blu-Rays and PSN alone I could have got a number of 360's, or Wii's or even more PS3's and a bigger LCD screen.
Sure if I only ever bought one or two games it would be a different story though.
so the more games and content are bought, the less relevant the initial cost of the console becomes. for me at least.
