That is exactly why he is still employed. It is apparently priority #1 for Sony to make sure that all of its employees are on the same page in terms of talking points, which is why you hear the constant refrains of "ten year plan" and "we rape Europeans with impunity because they appreciate value" from every Sony spokesman.

People say the PS3 was sort of a living sacrifice for the Blu-Ray format to succeed...well, I wonder if Sony nowadays regrets that decision....was securing BD´s victory over HD-DVD really far more important for their $$$ than sticking with a "PS2.5"?

2.5 could be a potshot at the Wii for not moving as far ahead in raw processing/gpu power, but can also be a potshot at MS plans to relaunch a new Xb360 next year with Natal.

ROFL, even in a slump, Wii is crushing the PS3 WW, and its almost three years old, and still sitting at $250, seems to me like the 2.5 route would have been smarter for Sony
