Does anybody know Microsoft's customer service number for the xbox?

They said they could repair it for $99.99. Would that be the best option or would buying a new Arcade model with hopefully a newer motherboard for $199.99 and putting my old 20 gig harddrive in it be the best option?
just buy a new 360. though if you sen it in they will most likely send you a new one anyways
I would buy a new one all new Arcade models in stores should be the ones with the new Jasper chipset and the 256MB of internal memories and I'm pretty sure that a lot of stores already have the latest Arcade revision that has 512MB of internal memory. Also if the rumors are true that the 60GB will be phased out this fall and replaced with the 120GB model then you should be able to get a 60GB HDD relatively cheap by then. Mine E74 a couple of month back luckily I got it repaired for free but I got the same unit back so I still don't have one with a HDMI port :(
Buy a new one and sell your old on eBay as not working. People will still buy it, I just don't remember what they pay for it.
-edit-
Looks like you'll get anywhere from $30-60 for it on eBay.
-edit #2-
You're pretty much paying $130-160 for a new one assuming you're selling the old on eBay as broken so that you get the new chipset, HDMI, internal 256 memory, and a new warranty so it is worth the trouble.
Wow lucky, I've been trying to get the rrod for the last 2 weeks so I could replace it for free.
I have an issue with video, after 10 minutes of play the entire screen gets filled with artifacts, flickering lines, dots, color distortion, etc. etc.
Why won't this thing rrod on me damnit!

Wrap towels around the vents. Just don't get burned or electrocuted or let your house catch on fire. When I was playing Geo Wars before mine died the final death there was a time when weird things that weren't supposed to be there started popping up.

I tried playing a game for a while while the graphics problems were going. Did a restart and got the E74 error, and it's covered!
I've been hoping for rrod or E74 since i got this replacement, it's had disc read errors like crazy.
Hopefully the new 360 they send me will be a newer model, what do you think my chances are?
could be. no idea. i guess you'll have to see if it has a voltage rating of 12:1.
