See everyone I know is trading in there PS3's and getting 360's. Just because the people around you are probably swayed by your opinion does not and never will make you right. He is debating that you are wrong about the amount of active PSN acounts, and he wins that battle. Simple because you have no clue how many people are using there PSN acounts online if ever. Hell I got 2 of them and ive never owned a PS3 or PSP. Just because you dont want to admit your wrong and point out that he is wrong also does not make you right.

Lol really? You should tell your friends I'll trade them a used 360 for a PS3 then let's see if they'll bite. Also I'm wondering since you hate Sony so much why do you have 2 PSN accounts? To play on your friends PS3s? Futhermore since you get a month of free gold with each new alt account it's an absolute certianty there are more alt acounts on XBL. Finally the point is even if half of the PSN accounts are inactive that would STILL mean more people are playing online gaming on PSN then on XBL and growing every day.

One month... what do you not understand about 1 month?  It is free for one month, then expires.  Microsoft's figures are for users who are active within the last 30 days.  So all these people abusing the one month free perks are not being counted except for those who created it within 30 days of the last numbers release.

There are far more alt accounts on PSN where they are always free.  People make Alt accounts to abuse games, not just because they can.  That's why infinite free alt accounts on PSN is a much more likely choice than alt accounts for just one month on XBL.

And no, if half of PSN accounts are inactive, that's just 10-11 million active ones.  There are 12-13 million active Gold accounts on XBL with many more "inactive" gold accounts.  And growing everyday!

There are still a lot more PSN accounts according to published numbers and people are mostly migrating from the paying XBL to the free PSN, not the other way.

Wrong.  You can't compare the published numbers since they both refer to different things.  One is active within last 30 days, the other is lifetime "accounts created."

And people are mostly migrating from PSN to the more advanced XBL that all their friends have and are constantly raving about

@mwj and nightsurge : I don't see why people would migrate from PS3 to the 360. There has been no exclusive (I mean zero 90+ game on meta) this year on 360, and 2 on PS3, including the best fps this gen, Killzone 2. ;)

Fixed

Joke BTW.

Warning FootballFan, you can be banned for an anti MS joke on this site.

Or add 'but I prefer my 360' after the joke, mods are touchy.

XBL is still ahead, but make no mistake about it, the gap is not as big as it once was.

@Fila : yes, it's getting slimmer day after day, as people either simply migrate to PS3 due to the better exclusive content than on 360 or simply don't want to pay in a recession for a service that brings nothing important that PSN doesn't.
