I personally didn't realise there was any catching up needed doing.
If I was a Live customer I'd expect more then a free service, is M$ can't even provide a better service then a free one then, why charge for it at all?
Hmm, pie.

What ?
Evan Wells (Uncharted 2): I think the differences that you see between any two games has much more to do with the developer than whether it’s on the Xbox or PS3.
While I see XBL has some nice features on top of PSN, they don't appeal that much to me... I'm a old gamer, I don't play with friends in game parties anymore, I mostly play alone, or online with people I don't know.
So I don't see why I would pay for cross game voice chat or a party system I don't use. PSN is more appealing for me.
But I can definitely see why those features matter so much for some.

I make one typo and it read like abag of crap. 'If Microsoft can't provide a better service...'
My key point being that I'd expect a certain amount of quality from something I get for free. "You get what you pay for." MicroSofts service should be better, people are paying for it after all. If Sony's services was on par with MicroSofts then what they'd just be charging you for using something you can get for free.
Hmm, pie.

Thankfully XBL is better and offers enough added services and value to justify giving up a single cup of coffee each month ($3).

PSN is better and the fact that I use it instead of XBL means I basicly get a free game every year! Thanks for the free Uncharted 2 Sony! You da man.

I'm sorry, but XBL is better is a fact. PSN is better is an opinion. Just thought I'd clarify that for you. And I had no idea that Uncharted would only cost $40. Oh and as part of XBL I think I have already received about 3 or 4 free arcade games along with countless other advantages so yeah, thank you for the better service at a practically free rate Microsoft!
Bzzz wrong! 8 vs. 8 might have been better in the Dreamcast era but here in 2009 PSN wipes the floor with XBL.

Nice of you to inform me of you being wrong before making your incorrect post.
Neither PSN nor XBL is responsible for how many players can be supported. That's a developer decision. XBL can support just as many gamers via dedicated servers as PSN can. XBL has a few games which use dedicated servers already: Frontline: Fuel of War, Left 4 Dead, EA games, BF1943 now. So you see, it is not a limitation of XBL at all
Glad I could educate you on this matter.
