RAM issue is definitely 32bit vs 64, sound is probably a driver issue.

Now only the Headphones work fine but no sound from the TV. I tried plugging in the damn thing in every jack but no luck, any suggestions ?? Thanks for the help with the fans guys BTW but like I said I got lucky and they worked ![]() |
Windows 32bit operating system only support 3.25gb of Ram. You need the 64 bit operating system to utilise all of it

the ram is becase you are using 32 bit, get the 64 bit.
also you may want to update those sound driver becasue the default ones arent too great
you dont know how do you fix the fans? cool job then... the sound is for shore a software issue... if works on the head phones you probably set it up wrong...

Proudest Platinums - BF: Bad Company, Killzone 2 , Battlefield 3 and GTA4
ok now it gets interesting (I'm on the 64 ver btw so I have 4Gb of ram now)
so what I was doing before is that I hoking up my PC to my HDTV via DVI to HDMI dongle I bought today. Now back when I was using the XP SP2 this morning with the HDMI cable the sound was still working from the TV speakers now with windows 7 it's not (like I said only the headphones work), so I unplugged the DVI to HDMI and replaced it with a DVI to VGA dongle that came with the GPU and whata you know the sound works now from the TV with Windows 7 !!!!
so I think there is a problem between the HDMI to TV + the Audio wire. I think either the System or the TV thinks that both the sound and picture should come through the HDMI and it's blocking the Audio jack or whatever (like I said the XP didn't give me that problem even with the HDMI)
I'm gonna try to figure out where the problem is whether to disable the HDMI or something and see if I can fix it, like always I'm open to suggestions

vista / 7 are still are mess for audio, lets hope its only a drivers issue.
because i can only get 2.1 sound >.<
man I'm losing hope. I tried searching online but it seems there is no one solution everybody has different way to solve it and I tried couple of them but no luck.
The thing that really drives me crazy is when I connect my PC to my HDTV through VGA the sound works but when I put back HDMI it goes away. I'm really starting to accept that I have to use a headset now although it gets annoying and uncomfortable after awhile.
