New Play Control Pikmin and Pikmin 2 have strong sales in my opinion.

Pikmin sold 1.6 Million and Pikmin 2 sold 1 Million which together is 2.6 Million.

NPC Pikmin sold 350K and NPC Pikmin 2 sold 150K which together is 500K.

NPC Pikmin and Pikmin2 sold about 18% of what the GC versions did together.

This is also without an American NPC Pikmin 2! I think that 18% is very strong for remakes with only new controls.

In my opinion this shows that when Pikmin 3 comes out in 2010(I Hope) the sales will be way larger than the 1st 2!

It's a good chance that these two Pikmin might get better sales than the CG ones. That's good to hear.

i hope so too, NPC Pikmin 2 is the best new play control besides NPC Donkey Kong imo, both of which i can honestly say are very fun and also deep and easily recomendable games to anyone, especially if you're like me and haven't played the originals on GC.

i am definitely excited about what's in store for Pikmin 3 and hope it is a great success :)

Though you have to think. The Wii install base is much higher than the Gamecube version.

yeah i def think the Pikmin 3 has a really good chance of beating the first two.....the new play control pikmins are getting people who had not experienced it on the gamecube ready for the new one

No offense to Nintendo but I have yet to see a Pikmin2 NPC on store shelves! Where is it, I want it but nobody sells it! I've seen Pikmin1 and DonkeyKong Jungle Beat but nowhere Pikmin2!

Hurrah! Let's hope so. NPC Pikmin2 was fantastic. I can't imagine what it was like doing all that Pikmin control on a gamecube controller. Did it work ok? I'm happy I played it on the Wii myself.

The throwing was worse on gamecube. However the group control or whatever you call it was slightly better on GC in my oppinion.
