Only got around to watching this film today and absolutely loved it. Speaking loosely obviously; what were your thoughts on the ending? Were you dissapointed by the cliffhanger?

No, not at all. I loved it

A lot of people call it a cliffhanger, and I have a hard time arguing against that. I mean, the movie *does* just sort of end, and so many things are left up in the air. With that said, for me, I feel like the movie is about Theo's journey and that did come to an end, so I dunno.

That whole last big sequence (you and anyone who's seen it knows exactly what I'm talking about) left my jaw on the floor though. Between that and the forest sequence when they were in the car... I had really never seen anything like that before. I remember when I saw it in the theater, I had gone with a buddy after having a few drinks from a shitty day at work, and him and I both were just blown away.  The next day I told my old lady about it and we went to go see it and she loved it just as much as me. Such a great film.

I had it on hd-dvd, and it came out on blu-ray a while ago, I really need to get around to picking it up. Kind of silly it's in my top 5 and it's not even in my collection.

I know i'll end up watching Let the Right One in many times....Did you read the book? The book's end sequence was so much more twisted & horrific than the movie's. Love the book, love the movie though.

It's too hard to narrow it down to just a top 5.

But I'm pretty certain that Lord of the Rings, Contact and Braveheart would be in my all time top 5.

Also, I think it's hard to rank movies from very different genres. Like historical epic versus crime drama for example - it's hard to decide if Braveheart is better than Scarface because it's so apples vs oranges.

I would like to add Insomnia as an honorable mention.

One Hour Photo also.

We'll miss you George.
