I dont care if the PSP2 is more powerfull than an Xbox 360. If its anything like the PSP, 75% of the games will be sucky ports of console games, and of the other 25% that are original titles, only 5% are worth owning. If you want portable gaming, music, videos, pictures, and all that, skip the PSP and just get an iPod Touch or iPhone...

Haha... PS2 graphics were no where near Gamecube. Look at Resident Evil 4 on Gamecube then on PS2. The PS2 version has crappy, blurred textures in certain areas, and in some cases, missing trees or other shrubs just because the PS2 can't handle that much on screen.

Look at games like God of War 2 and GT3 on the PS2.  Those games had some good graphics.  Resident Evil 4 was ported to the PS2 and that's why it didn't have better graphics than the Gamecube version.  However the graphics was still good on the PS2 version too.  Anyway I liked the PS2 version better because of the PS2 controller.  The Gamecube controller didn't feel right for me.

C_Hollomon, you can't compare games of different genres so easily. GOW2 has a fixed camera which allows for lots of optimizations and shortcuts (for example, the back sides of objects don't need to be in memory and don't consume any CPU time, unlike in games with a movable camera).

When you have a 2.5 inch screen with a resolution that is lower than standard definition television what is the benefit of advanced graphics?

Maybe its just me, but I think having your artists spend hundreds of man hours normal mapping an environment when the end user will be unable to see it is a remarkably wasteful activity.

Isn't it a known fact that PS2 was inferior hardware wise? The most powerful last gen was Xbox, than GC, than PS2.
