No, PS2 didnt have the worst graphics of its gen. Gamecube did THEN PS2 and PS2's graphics were acctually really good

Haha... PS2 graphics were no where near Gamecube. Look at Resident Evil 4 on Gamecube then on PS2. The PS2 version has crappy, blurred textures in certain areas, and in some cases, missing trees or other shrubs just because the PS2 can't handle that much on screen.
