Forums - Sony - Sony's repairs are the worst

Mine broke, they sent a courier with a refurbished 60GB (they had stopped making them) in a few days, but that console was faulty, so I got yet another one a few days later. The problem was that for various reasons, it took me a month to call Sony... that was a painful month, especially as I had just got the CoD 4 bug

MS stole my X360 HDD, the bastards. That's one of the reasons I decided to sell it. Glad to see I wasn't the only one with repair issues.

I consider myself lucky, Both PS3s I have sent back, 1 mine 1 my brothers, came back in 2 weeks. The PSP I sent back came back in 3 week. All three I had no problems with. My 360 was also only gone a couple weeks.

I actually had a very pleasant experience with the sony people. My ps3 broke... the optical drive broke and i called up sony they asked me a series of questions which i knew the answer to and i said that i got a weird error message. they knew exactly what it was. THen he asks if i am under warranty i said only off by two weeks. So he helped me out and got it fixed for free when it would have been 150 becuase i was only two weeks off warranty. My Ps3 then came back in a week in a half. I think its a good idea to tell them exactly what you think is wrong

PLAYSTATION®3 is the future.....NOW.......B_E_L_I_E_V_E

Consoles owned: Game Cube, Gameboy Color, Gameboy Advance, Nintendo DS, PSP, PS1, PS2, PS3.

My prediction: NATAL WILL NOT help 360 sales. Maybe a 50-100k boost week 1, then a 30-70 k boost week 2, and back to the norm again after 3-5 weeks.

I'm in the same boat. My 60GB broke this past May but got it back in four days. Then last month, it broke again - still haven't gotten the box after a week. I want to play my PS2 games!

I must be one of the lucky ones, I live pretty close to a Sony repair shop so if mine breaks i can just take it in. The first time my 60gb had heating issues and i got a refurb when i took it in while waiting.

My second issue was a YLOD so a new BD drive and motherboard, and got the system back within 24hours.

My third problem was another motherboard and took 48hours from the time i brought in it.

*Backs up 60GB PS3 again*

Sorry to hear about your (and I'm sure others) unfortunate situation.
