Dreamcast and psp were both epic failures, so why compare them to the greatness that is wii? Both of the things you mentioned got crushed by competition.
| Gnizmo said: Seriously, IGN AU has something against the Wii. They trash it just about every chance they get. This isn't a grand conspiracy against Nintendo, the Wii, or Wii Sports Resort. IGN AU just had their cornflakes pissed in by Nintendo a few too many times and now rage against it a decent bit. |
Before I skim the thread, can someone tell me if there are any more comments like this? My IQ is rather high at the moment, I wish to keep it that way.
OT: 6.5. lets see what other reviewers say before we decide anything.

GOTY Contestants this year: Dead Space 2, Dark Souls, Tales of Graces f. Everything else can suck it.
wii sports already proved that reviews were broken and that reviewers had completely lost touch with what the consumer is looking for. It's a joke if you read some of the wii sports reviews and i'm not surprised that WSR would get the same treatment.
currently playing: Skyward Sword, Mario Sunshine, Xenoblade Chronicles X
It's a 6.5 to the people that read the review. Who actually expected this game to be amazing? It has really low production values...Nintendo could've cooked it up in a jiffy.
Well if they had put 30-40 minigames and if they tried to be more creative on how to implement those in...then i guess the score would be higher.
I believe Nintendo gave more of the same, and for me its missed chance for making something remarkable..anyway i am buying WSR
6.5 seems fair IMO

That's funny. Because I'm sure that reviewers for gaming sites do the same things we do here, and understand the market the same way we do. They know that WSR isn't for the "hardcore". If I can realize that WSR is just for people looking to have a good time in sessions with their friends, I'm sure that the guys at IGN realize this too. That being said...this game just MIGHT not be that great. Is that hard to understand? If that is the case, then why didn't they review it based on what the market wants in the game rather then some arbitrary standards that IGN thinks are importaint? Basically, they didn't write it for consumers or with their readers in mind. And this is why I hate gaming press. |
Because you review it based on the tastes of your main audience, not based on the target market of what you are reviewing.
Is that so hard to understand ????
Most of the people visiting IGN site are gamers, a majority of them young men I would say ( seeing how IGN has a a decent section about babes every week that's what I would expect).
And WSR is probably not the game most teenagers/young adults men will want to pick up first....
So the review does make sense based on the tastes of their audience.
i don't think the game is 6.5, because from people that played it, i only know that it rules
don't mind my username, that was more than 10 years ago, I'm a different person now, amazing how people change ^_^

You don't trust half the reviewers on the internet, then? |
No comment if you agree with half of the reviewers on the internet. I`d surely be banned for life time if I commented you as a human-beeing.
