Forums - Microsoft - 360 games that don't get the credit for graphics you think they deserve.

Easy. Three games come to mind:

Perfect Dark Zero
Halo 3
Star Ocean: The Last Hope

Star Ocean: The Last Hope's graphics and physics are top notch, topping Mass Effect easily. Unfortunatly the graphics are let down by zero Anti-Aliasing. On HDTV's it's a jaggy nightmare.

The graphics look exactly like this but with jaggies, if you can imagine it...

Dang - shocked no one mentioned these 360 games:

Ace Combat 6 - just breathtaking
Test Drive Unlimited - I get the look and feel of perfect every time I pop this into my 360

and Splinter C3ll looks good too.

lost odyssey

I was going to point out Halo 3, but someone above me just did. Halo 3's campaign graphics set is fairly impressive considering you need to account for 4-player co-op and a lot of stuff on screen at times. Then I was gonna say Ace Combat 6, and someone said that just now too.

So I'm going to say.....Fuzion Frenzy 2. No. Kidding!!!

I'm still a fan of Oblivion's environments. And Fable 2's. Just don't look too closely at character models for either. I also agree with Crackdown, and, of course, the various car games - Forza, PGR, Burnout too. But that's just easier to do.

Can't we all just get along and play our games in peace?

completely forgot about Eternal Sonata

a agree with everyone here. But personaly i liked Gears of War back in 2006. That was the first game that made everyones jaw drop from the awesome visuals. That was the first taste people had of what these consoles could do and by far was the biggest leap forward this gen.

agreed and also the major reason most people initially looked at Halo 3's graphics and thought they sucked.

Halo 3 might not have the best graphics but you can't argue with the constant 30fps and the 14 mile drawdistances. I'd love to know Killzone 2's drawdistance.

Belive it or not but awhile back I used a method to get out of the multiplayer maps in theater mode and could fly with the camera for miles and take pictures. The map always remained there no matter how far i went out. I'll post some pictures I took. You can see how the maps are built.

Thats Valhalla from miles away. I am assuming most of you have already played on Halo 3's multiplayer maps so you know which area is what already. I must have travelled up for about 5 minutes at like 50 miles an hour. You can still see the details on the map which is the tiny green bit between the snow and water. The Cyan colour is where the nothingness is, it turns out like that when you take a screenshot.

This is Snowbound from up in space and you have a clear shot of the planets and the sun. In Halo the skys are structured properly like in real life. The further you travel up the darker you get untill your in space, you can see the atmosphere of the level with its blueish glow. I must of travelled up a good 5 minutes and the map is miles below me.

This is Epitaph from about a mile away. The top part of the tower where the windows are the most bluish is the playable area. The next shot is pretty crazy.

This is at the peak of the Halo 3's draw distance. If i went another meter backwards everything would turn to nothingness (Cyan) The top of that tiny tower is where you play and it is still being rendered from this far away (14 miles). I must of held backwards on the joypad for like half an hour to get this far away, while doing other important things of course  Not even Crysis has drawdistances this far.

This is just a nice picture taken from outside of the Pitt. Obviously the graphics don't look that great because im viewing background props up close. Some of you might find this post useless but I find it interesting. Halo 3 is more technically impressive then it is visually impressive.

Yeah man Halo 3 is actually way better than most people give it credit for.

And do you have any more pictures like the ones above.  I'd like to see them all if i could.

Yeah I have a few. I had alot more but i reformatted my Xbox 360's hardrive awhile back. The only ones left are the ones I uploaded to my fileshare. http://www.bungie.net/Stats/Halo3/FileShare.aspx?gamertag=kiefer23

I like these scenery shots I took awhile back..

The Covenant

Construct

The Guardian

Ghost Town

Check the previous link for some of the out of the map pictures and please nobody quote this post. Its way to long as it is..

Just say @Kiefer23 or something

I just thought of this on the way home, but Tomb Raider Legend was fucking amazing when it came out. I had the PS2 version and paid almost full retail for the 360 version. I still think it looks good. And, I don't care what anybody says: Tomb Raider Underworld for the 360 AND PS3 was a beautiful game.
