Umm you could get Charmander --> Charizard in Blue and Squirtle --> Blastoise in Red.

And Blastoise >>> Charizard :P.

I liked blue better because (alliteration ftw :P) it's my favourite colour XD.

I'm not sure if this is more or less nerdy than legitimate reasons for the distinction. Still funny though.

And about the colour, blue >>>>red....so we cannot base our think on our personal way of live...that said both are the greatest Pokemon game (maybe after gold).
