Forums - Website Topics - Is Anyone Seeing this Ad on Forums of this Site?

I go to the odd thread and this comes up:

It is really annoying because it disables reading the forum....   Anyone else seeing it?

Edit from ioi:

I'm gonna need more info if I'm gonna track the source of this ad down and remove it. Next time it happens can you look under tools > page info (firefox) and try to find the source of the ad under the "media" tab.

As is usually the issue with this stuff I don't get these ads myself being in the UK so unless you guys alert me to an issue I won't know about it. The best way to bring this stuff up is to email or pm me about it with screenshots etc rather than making arsy threads on it. We have about 500 different ads over 3 different ad sizes and 7 ad networks running on the site - many of which are in the hands of the networks themselves and I don't personally have direct control over. Believe me, we don't purposely place ads like this on the site and it is obviously something I want to track down asap and get removed...

Around the Network

Yeah! I got it a few minutes ago and i couldnt do anything without having to click on the ad. So i had to shut down the browser and start it up again. REALLY annoying!

Yep. There is another thread about it too. That ad is getting old, quickly.

Ask stefl1504 for a sig, even if you don't need one.

Yeah! I was gonna make a topic about it too. This ad should be disabled because you have to exit out of the whole window in order to get back to your computer. The way it is set up it is basically forcing you to click on an ad to exit.. lol. Aren't there enough ads on the site already?

its seems there is a new browser disabling ad everyday. its gonna start driving people away from this site if all they get to see are ads. I know i come less and less.

Around the Network

Just refresh your browser and it should be away.
Happened two times to me already and yeah it's annoying.

I've never seen so many adds that just totally disrupt your enjoyment for a site. There's a difference between having an ad that is off to the side, and one that constantly pulls you away from your page, or pops in front of what you are reading. I guarantee they are losing people because of this. This is going to be vgchartz version of myspace losing people because of spam e-mails.

I never got it.

I havent seen that ad yet.

I'm using an adblocker :D
