I think so, I got the battlechest, and I think that comes in it.

Then you haven't played the game a whole lot. Medics are great against the Zerg but won't get you anywhere against a Protoss opponent. Starcraft: Brood War in it's current version is the most balanced RTS ever. That's actually my worst fear about SCII, that they'll never be able to get that incredible balance the original had.

People are picking the wrong game to downplay. It will be awesome, and I can't wait to kick the Dominion's ass with Raynor.

Didn't Mengsk get captured (and eventually escaped) and the Dominion wiped out in the middle of UED campaign in Brood Wars?

And if the story is anything like BW, Kerrigan will anal rape everyone else in the SC universe 24/7.

As much as I like Kerrigan and her devious ways. She has to fall in SCII, she can't get much more powerful than she was at the end of Brood War. Also, I don't think anyone will be stupid enough to fall for her "I'm a good girl now" act anymore.

Lurkers, High Templars, Reavers, Dark Archons, Dark Templars, Queens, Science Vessels and Siege Tanks. All that can easily wipe out a M&M party.

*Slight 'maybe' Spoilet Warning*

Pretty sure everyone will eventually get owned / fight against the Xel'Naga in this one... the little epilogue from Brood War and the foreshadowing we're seeing almost guarantees it.

Indeed. Brood War finished giving serious hints about an extra 4th race (Hybrids) in the sequel. I wonder if Blizzy is keeping it under wraps or dropped it due to balancing issues :/

I haven't played WCIII nearly as much as Starcraft but up until the point where I stopped playing they did seem to have difficulties balancing 4 races evenly. I'm about 99% certain there won't be a 4th playable race in SCII, maybe they'll do something similar to the Naga in WCIII if they want to include the Xel' Naga.

Anyway from reading the backstory in Starcraft's booklet, it seemed to me that the Xel' Naga were more interested in watching their creations (Protoss and Zerg) than actually interfering with them. Also, didn't they get almost wiped out by the Zerg? (I gotta read it again)

I'm not talking about Xel'Naga, they were wiped out by the Zerg many years prior to Starcraft events.

Have you finished Brood War? Secret level in the Zerg campaign (with Zeratul?)

You edited your post or I didn't see your blacked out part when I first read it and since you were responding to mibuokami I assumed you were going to same way he did. Yes, I finished Brood War and did the bonus mission with Duran making hybrids. While I do think they'll show up somewhere in Starcraft II's story, I don't think they will be a playable race.
