Indeed. Brood War finished giving serious hints about an extra 4th race in the sequel. I wonder if Blizzy is keeping it under wraps or dropped it due to balancing issues :/

I haven't played WCIII nearly as much as Starcraft but up until the point where I stopped playing they did seem to have difficulties balancing 4 races evenly. I'm about 99% certain there won't be a 4th playable race in SCII, maybe they'll do something similar to the Naga in WCIII if they want to include the Xel' Naga.

Anyway from reading the backstory in Starcraft's booklet, it seemed to me that the Xel' Naga were more interested in watching their creations (Protoss and Zerg) than actually interfering with them. Also, didn't they get almost wiped out by the Zerg? (I gotta read it again)
