Sigh...

Their are so many reasons why PS3 can beat the GC.

1) PS3 is still expensive (GC was a lot cheaper) and I am sure that more people will get it with a price cut.

2) It needs more games (who are coming).

3) When PS2 finally dies I am sure that more people will buy a PS3

And many more.....

On topic, I don't know, Halo 3 didn't make the difference on the Xbox (EDIT) 360.

Could 3, maybe 4, games sell millions of consoles??

We will gonna see another "great software sales", "above average hardware sales"???

Hatchet, I was thinking about editing my quote...but since you don't seem remorseful about using some sort of sexual preference-based insult to express your discontent with Wii owners who are as passionate about their system as you are yours I think I will leave it as you have said it. Anyways, my Wii is my favorite system right now, but to say someone is passionate about their systems is a little insulting in my opinion. Because, I don't know what "my system" would be. The only other next gen console I have is the 360 and I'm starting to think it was a waste of money on my part

Well that's just the way I imagine it sometimes.

It's all kinds of fanboys and many different people really, but let's just forget I said it and get back to uhhhhh....

The PS3 selling like the Gamecube? Why did anyone think this would turn out well? Oh well...

Actually Leo-j has been a bit testy lately, unless he thinks I am one of these "ass-plugged" nintendo fanboys. But considering I was among the first people to tell him it was far from over for the PS3 in his thread a week or two ago I don't see how I fit that description.

I try to make predictions based on what I see as likely and keep my personal preference and taste out of it. Now if you want to talk about which games are good and bad thats a preference thing so I will use my preferences in that discussion. I think a lot of times people get caught up switching back and forth between a topic that is based in opinion (game debates) and a topic that is based in facts (sales debates).

This is just a sales prediction just like those analyst keep saying the PS3 will all of a sudden leap frog past everything. Time will tell but I would go with it will finish 3rd just based off the numbers right now. I just don't see how it can all of a sudden makeup for more than half of what the 360 and Wii are like MS and Nintendo will all of a sudden stop producing games. The 360's and Wii's lead will only continue through the holidays and whos to say MS or Nintendo don't have future plans to rain on SONY's parade like $199 360's or $150 Wii's etc. I think by march we will have a clearer picture as we see how well SONY did at reaching their goals same goes for nintendo and MS. Time will tell.
