Does game that go to Gamefly, blockbuster, etc. account to overall sales or not??? And do the game companies sell them at full price to Gamefly, etc? Or do they take a percentage of the rental charges? Does any one know? I know for sure that the rental chains affect overall sales of games. Cuz i use gamefly instead of buying all the games. I do buy games new from stores. But i also buy games through gamefly. So, does my purchase through gamefly account to a games overall sales?

To answer the questions I can

Companies that rent out games do not purchase them for the same price as either retailers or customers. This is because they have loosened restrictions as to what they can do with the game (ie rent it out)

VgChatz does not track as a sale when a person rents a game, nor (I believe) do they even track the sales of games to the rental companies

I wish i knew those answers, i use Gamefly and i always wondered.

If customers purchased games from them, are they reported to the developers just for knowledge sakes for them to know how well their game is doing?
