Maybe they didn't?? The L4D boycott group includes 30,000 people.. I figure its between 1% to 3% of the total L4D userbase.

Also, L4D didn't start with a bang, most of its sales came well after launch MONTH. Doubling its pre-orders wouldn't be that hard of an accomplishment.

That true, it wasnt a big group to begin with.  But they should realize how stupid they were and just be happy they are getting another great game from Valve

Damn these whiners. You get so much value from online games since their lifetime is extended considerably compared to single player games - especially if it's a really good game like L4D!

If a game has a long lifetime it will prevent those gamers from purchasing other games, therefore developers actually need to sneak in some bonuses like extra levels and features and call it a 'sequel' to earn some money from these people that keep playing just one game they only payed $40-60 for (depending on PC vs X360) for a whole year.

They should actually be happy that there's no ongoing monthly fee for this great entertainment (at least the sneaky PC gamers should, because they dont even pay for Xbox Live)!

What do they demand? That you pay only $40-60 and have fun with just one game for years?

This isn't really surprising considering the first one was largely a sleeper hit, many more people will buy L4D2 day one than L4D1. but whether or not the total sales of L4D2 will stand up to those of L4D1 is yet to be proven.

Looks like that Boycott I remember from awhile back didn't work too hot.

Ask stefl1504 for a sig, even if you don't need one.

LOL

double preorders is nothing. I don't think there were many preorders on the first once since no one relized how cool it was after its been out for awhile.

Well I pre-ordered mine.

It's just that simple.

I hope Microsoft give this a bit more attention *cough* some advertising.
