It is rather unfair to compare Graphics for the 2 consoles, in my opinion. Wii will never be able to produce graphics on par with HD consoles. I see things that say "Best graphics for the Wii" and then they give the graphics score an 8. It makes no sense.

Doing that would be on par with a reviewer claiming an HD game has great controls, but knocking off 2 points for no motion/IR controls (arguably a much better setup than traditional pads.)

If Wii shooter's Graphics scores top out at 8, then Non-Wii Shooter's controls scores should top out at 8 as well.

Reviewers should isolate each game and compare it to the goals of the developer, and how successful each game is for that particular system. They seem to do this well enough for HD consoles, in general ignoring when Motion Controls make the game much better, but not for wii, never ignoring the fact that the graphics aren't on par with HD consoles.


Just playing devils advacit here but don't forget Graphics would also take into account the art direction.   An area where the game lacks.

8 to me seems fair.  It's technically impressive but not artistically impressive. 

But certainly some reviewers are just being HD snobs.


True enough.  I was speaking more in the general sense of what I have seen from reviewers.  I can't speak specifically about the conduit, as I haven't played it yet

So you expected The Conduit to get a 91 on metacritic? Way to go, expecting too much from the game.

its the most hyped FPS game for Wii, so i expected to be AAA tittle

Have you played this game?

Owning this game... It is an 80-85 with later levels that show real promise and online play that is like crack!  (as long as the freaking hackers can be kept at bay)  It has some of the best replay value of any game on Wii.  I find that the review on this site and Gametrailers.com are the most accurate in their synopsis.  IGN scored it a bit too high, partly because they wanted to score it higher than MoH:H2 which was also overrated, but also partly because they may have gotten a little too close to the game...

I have played Conduit. Beat the SP and am playing MP. Here is what Conduit has over WAW Wii:

-Controls (probably better than MOHH2)
-Number of players online
- Wii Speak


COD WAW Wii

- Better maps (better designs)
- Getting online is quick and easy (Conduit takes FOREVER just to find and match peeps)
- Upgradeable guns
- Unlockable guns
- Perks
- Killstreak rewards
- better bullet detection
- Ranking system actual rewards you for getting higher Ranks
- leaderboards
- challenges
- better radar system (COnduit - characters will flicker around the map sometimes)

The reasons I list here are probably the reasons why reviews are harsh on Conduit. Its not some Conduit conspiracy. The game got too hyped and expectations were not met. Conduit 2 will be better but ....it will be a while till it comes.

Right now I switch back and forth between Conduit MP and COD WAW Wii MP. Conduit is fun for a bit but my taste gravitates towards WAW.
