Ha ha,... Sony has owned the home console market for the last two generations (or well over a decade) and you were comparing two of Sony's console sales (one being the most successful of any video gaming device and the other the successor to it) to the sales of a console that is the successor to one that wasn't the greatest success financially or marketshare wise.


Sony always fought an uphill battle when they released a new gaming system. Never have they been without proper competition. This counts for the PS1, PS2, PSP as well as for the PS3.



Naughty Dog: "At Naughty Dog, we're pretty sure we should be able to see leaps between games on the PS3 that are even bigger than they were on the PS2."

Kaz Hirai called, he wants his wishful thinking back.

This time, the competition is much fiercer than before, and Sony's position is much weaker with their expensive hardware and exclusives loss.
