The Neo Geo Aes was at the release about 650 Dollar (It was way more expensive then the PS3 especially if you consider the inflation) and I know the games were really expensive because I was stunned after seeing an ad of a Games Shop and the Games were even more expensive then the most Videogamesystems) The Cartridges of Neo Geo had massive capacity compared to other Cartridges like SNES or even the N64. The Cartridges were up to 716 Mbit. And thats why the Price was 200-300 Dollar per Game. And the Neo Geo 64 had even bigger Cartridges at an even higher Price. The Cartridges were not only a storage device they were part of the Hardware (If I remember correctly, I was a young boy at the time) they had implemented Chips etc.
